Air Quality Monitoring Programmes
Air quality is the most visible environmental complaint and the easiest to dispute without data. We remove the dispute by installing calibrated monitoring stations that run continuously and record every reading with a timestamp. Depending on the brief, a station may measure particulate matter at several size fractions, nitrogen dioxide, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone and a selected suite of volatile organic compounds.
For construction and demolition work we deploy dust boundary monitors with alarm thresholds and real time telemetry, so a site team knows within minutes when a control measure is failing. For industrial facilities we operate stack sampling campaigns using reference methods, then compare measured emission rates against licence conditions and report the margin of compliance. For nuisance investigations we combine our own readings with wind direction data to establish whether a source can plausibly be responsible.
Every programme produces a validated dataset, a quality assurance record covering calibration, field blanks and duplicate samples, and a written interpretation for non specialists. Where trends suggest deterioration, we recommend specific abatement and re monitor to confirm that the fix worked.
